FEES AND FINES
Overdue books and magazines 10 cents a day per item. videos: $1.00
per day per video/DVD/CD. All library materials need to be returned
no later than closing time on the day they are due or they will be
considered overdue.
NON-RESIDENT FEES
At this time, Osburn City residents are paying approximately $25. of
their tax monies to support this library. This includes all of the
materials in the library, supplies, insurances, salaries,
utilities, etc. To be fair we must charge a non-resident fee of $25
per household to any citizen who lives in an untaxed library area.
The Idaho State Library has also stated that we must charge equitable
fees to what our city taxpayers are paying or we are not eligible for
any grants allocated by them. Taxed libraries in the Silver Valley
are: Mullan, Wallace, Kellogg Pinehurst Kingston and Osburn. The good
news is once you have paid the annual non-resident fee for your
library card, all the mentioned libraries are free to you at no extra
charge. In other words, if you are a patron in good standing (owing
no fines) at one Silver Valley Library the other Silver Valley
libraries will welcome you.
